Glen Burnie Woman Killed While Crossing Road: Police

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A Glen Burnie woman died after being hit by a truck Tuesday at approximately 8 p.m. According to Anne Arundel County police officers, Joann Elizabeth Yeatts, 55, was crossing Langley Road North at its intersection with Furnace Branch Road East when she was hit by David Marshall Simmons, 62, of Glen Burnie. He was driving a Chevrolet Colorado.

Yeatts was pronounced dead at the scene by Anne Arundel County Fire Department paramedics. The driver was uninjured. The police department reported pedestrian error as the cause of the crash, which currently is being investigated.
