🌱 Handicap Pedestrian Killed + Tattoos & Books + Sewer Kittens Saved

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Glen Burnie.

(Patch Media)

Hello all. I'm back with your new edition of the Glen Burnie Daily, fresh off the presses. Here's what you need to know about what's happening locally.

First, today's weather:

Heavy thunderstorms. High: 84 Low: 62.

Here are the top stories today in Glen Burnie:

  1. Baltimore-Annapolis Boulevard and Route 10 was the scene of a hit and run. The incident happened on Saturday morning around 2 a.m. A 56-year-old man named Paul Haughee was the victim of this accident. Mr. Haughee was using a walker when he was struck and killed by vehicle. (Fox Baltimore)
  2. Anne Arundel police not only save kittens from trees, but they also save ducks from sewers! Some wayward ducklings were separated from their momma when they fell down a sewer grate. The little family was rescued and reunited Friday morning. (Fox Baltimore)
  3. Tattoos and books may seem like an odd combination, but it is happening. A local library hosted a tattoo fundraiser this past Saturday. This event was brought to fruition by the Library Foundation and a local tattoo shop called Lucky Bird. This event was such a success that plans are being made to host another one soon. (WMAR2)
