Highway Shooting Hospitalizes Driver In Linthicum Heights: Police
A driver was shot and hospitalized in Linthicum Heights, police said. Troopers are investigating what prompted the highway shooting.

LINTHICUM HEIGHTS, MD — A driver was shot and hospitalized recently in Linthicum Heights, the Maryland State Police said.
Troopers are still looking for the suspect. Authorities are investigating what prompted the highway shooting in Anne Arundel County.
The shooting happened Wednesday around 2:45 a.m. near the exit ramp from Maryland Route 295 south onto West Nursery Road, police said.

Troopers said the victim, a 21-year-old man, was driving south on Route 295 in a gold Acura TLX when someone in a gray Nissan Armada shot at his car.
Authorities said the victim was shot at least once, and he exited his sedan while it was still in motion.

The Acura, which was now unoccupied, continued down the exit ramp off Route 295. Troopers said the sedan then crossed West Nursery Road, entered another ramp onto southbound Route 295 and hit a guardrail on that second ramp.
The victim walked to a nearby convenience store in the 800 block of Pinnacle Drive. Medics drove him to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for treatment, a press release said.
The exit ramp at Route 295 south and West Nursery Road was closed until about 8:20 a.m. that day.
Detectives from the Criminal Enforcement Division Southern Region are investigating. The Maryland State Police Glen Burnie Barrack and the Anne Arundel County Police Department are assisting.
