Hilltop Pizza And Subs In Glen Burnie Catches On Fire

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A fire broke out Thursday morning at Hilltop Pizza and Subs on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard. According to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department, the fire broke out in a wall space behind a commercial pizza oven at the one-story restaurant. A passerby reported smoke coming out of the building. Once on the scene, firefighters discovered the fire had extended into the building's attic area, too.

More than three dozen firefighters from two departments responded to the fire. It was contained within 20 minutes. Members of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department Fire and Explosives Investigation Unit determined that the cause of the fire was accidental. There were no injuries reported.
