Homeowner Sets Glen Burnie House On Fire
A 58-year-old Glen Burnie man told firefighters while they were battling the fire at his home that he was responsible for setting the fire.
GLEN BURNIE, MD — Anne Arundel County police officers have identified the person responsible for setting a Glen Burnie home on fire July 31. County firefighters responded to the property at 635 Binsted Road at approximately 4:50 a.m. It took them 10 minutes to control the fire, which they suspected had started near a window at the front of the one-story single-family home. Officials pinpointed the estimated loss to be $30,000.
While firefighters were tending to the fire, a man approached them and claimed to have started the fire. The Anne Arundel County police officers identified the suspect as the homeowner and arrested Dennis A. Bouyer, 58, who has been charged with first degree arson and reckless endangerment.
