Jogger Robbed by Man with Box Cutter: Police

The robbery victim suffered minor injuries in the Linthicum attack, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

A man carrying a box cutter knocked a jogger to the ground on a Linthicum trail Saturday afternoon during a robbery.

Anne Arundel County Police were called to the area of Benton Avenue at Sycamore Road about 2 p.m.

The victim, a 24-year-old man, told police he was jogging on an area trail when a man came up behind him and pushed him to the ground. The suspect got on the victim’s back and held a box cutter up to the man’s face and demanded an I-pod he was wearing. The suspect then ripped the I-pod off the victim’s arm and fled.

Police say the victim suffered several small scratches on his cheek as a result of the attack, but no medical attention was required.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5’10”, wearing a black knee-length T-shirt with a black long-sleeved shirt under it, gray jeans, and brown boots. The suspect also has a mole on his left cheek.
