Late-Night Parking Lot Shoe Sale Leads To Gunshot: Police
A Glen Burnie man who told police he met two men late at night in a parking lot to buy shoes was robbed and shot.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A middle-of-the-night meet-up to purchase shoes in a parking lot left the prospective buyer with no money and a gunshot wound, according to Anne Arundel County Police. The assault happened about 12:30 a.m. Sunday at 7415 Ritchie Highway, where a man told officers he arranged to meet someone selling shoes.
During the sale with two men, one of the suspects reportedly grabbed the victim’s money and tried to run away. When the victim began to chase the suspects, one suspect pulled out a handgun and fired one shot toward the victim, police say.
A short time later, the victim realized he had been shot in the torso and called police. The victim was taken as a precaution to Shock Trauma in Baltimore.

Officers searched the area for the robbers with help from a police K-9 unit, but were unable to locate the suspects. The victim has since been released from the hospital.
The suspects are described as:
- Unknown race male, freckles, short heavy build, dark hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans
- Black male, tall, thin build, black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans.
