Hello again, everybody. It's Wednesday in Glen Burnie and I'm back in your inbox with everything that's fit to print about what's happening in town.


First, today's weather:

Here are the top stories today in Glen Burnie:

  1. Kevin Zichelli died on May 19. He succumbed to his burn injuries two weeks after the storage container explosion in Millersville. Zichelli is the fifth person to die from a fire-related incident in Anne Arundel County. (wmar2news.com)
  2. Fort McHenry Tunnel closed after three-vehicle crash. The accident happened Tuesday at about 1:30 p.m. Two of the vehicle drivers were able to escape with minor injuries. The third driver was trapped and had to be rescued. (Fox Baltimore)
  3. Jeremy Glen Yaruta passed away Sunday. This happened nearly two weeks after his dirt bike collided with a tractor trailer in Glen Burnie. The accident is still under investigation. (Fox Baltimore)
  4. Luckies store in Severn was robbed on Saturday, May 21. Two men entered the store and announced that this was a robbery. Both men were armed with guns. (Shore News Network)
  5. Sandy Point beaches and pool waters are being tested for bacteria levels. "Inspectors closely evaluate 400 public swimming pools and spas for specific health and safety conditions. If they find a health violation, the condition must then be corrected immediately, or the pool could be closed. The same goes for beaches." (WBAL 11)
