Police said the witness tried to escort the eventual shooting victim out of the bar, but the suspect returned to the business's entrance with a black handgun and continued to argue.

The suspect re-entered the bar as the witness led the eventual victim to his vehicle. Officers said the suspect left the bar again while the victim was at his vehicle, continued arguing and holding the handgun.

The suspect then fired several shots toward the victim before the victim could drive away, authorities said.

Police said the suspect fled in a white Toyota Camry sedan. The suspect and the victim were both gone by the time officers responded.

Authorities said the victim arrived at an unidentified hospital with a gunshot wound while they continued to investigate at the bar.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department is still investigating. Detectives asked anybody with information to call (410) 222-6135. Tipsters can stay anonymous by dialing (410) 222-4700.
