Man Arrested With Handgun, Cocaine, Prescription Drugs: Police

GLEN BURNIE, MD — On Thursday at approximately 12:30 a.m., an Anne Arundel County police officer spied a white Mercury Mountaineer being driven erratically on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in the Ferndale area, even swerving into oncoming traffic. The officer who stopped the vehicle discovered the driver was "extremely intoxicated" and possibly under the influence of a controlled substance, according to a police report.

Tavon Derek Devon Lambert, 31, of Baltimore, was arrested. The officer found Lambert to be in possession of suspected cocaine/heroin/fentanyl, 13 pills suspected oxycodone, four suboxone strips and a small loaded .22 caliber handgun. Located in the center console of the vehicle was a bag containing 32 additional rounds of .22 caliber ammunition and two packets containing suspected marijuana. Lambert is prohibited from possessing firearms.
