Man Fatally Stabbed In Glen Burnie, Suspect Arrested: Police

A man was fatally stabbed in Glen Burnie, police said. Officers identified the victim and arrested the suspect.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A man was fatally stabbed Thursday in Glen Burnie, county police said.

Officers identified the victim as 26-year-old Vincent Eugene Rawlings III of Glen Burnie. Authorities said they arrested the suspect, identified as 32-year-old Swayne Jay Powers Jr. of Glen Burnie.

Police think the stabbing stemmed from an earlier dispute.

Officers said they heard about the stabbing in the 7900 block of Benesch Circle around 4:30 a.m.

Authorities said medics took the victim to an unidentified hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Detectives said they identified the suspect and arrested him several hours later.
