Man Robbed Near His Home By Suspect Armed With Gun, Knife: Police

A man who was grabbing his house key out of his car in Glen Burnie was robbed by another man who had a gun and a knife.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A 30-year-old man who arrived home Wednesday shortly after 12:30 a.m. found a vehicle parked in his driveway he didn't recognize and a man standing in his yard he didn't know.

The man returned to his parked vehicle to grab the key to his house, which is located in the 300 block of 6th Avenue, and at that moment, the stranger in his yard confronted him and showed a handgun tucked into the waistband of his pants, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

The stranger then held a knife to the man's waist and demanded he hand over his belongings. The victim gave him his wallet and other items, then the suspect took off in a dark gray older model sedan, a police report noted.

Northern District detectives are investigating this incident and ask anyone with information to call 410-222-6135 or the Anne Arundel County Police Tip Line at 410-222-4700.

The suspect is described as between 5-foot-6-inches and 5-foot-8-inches tall with a beard, arm tattoos and large gauge-style earrings.
