Man Shot While Walking Along Crain Highway: Police

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A man walking northbound along Crain Highway was shot by a stranger Wednesday at approximately 11:55 p.m. The man told Anne Arundel County police officers that he heard footsteps behind him and when he turned around, the suspect shot him then took off.

The man is in critical but stable condition at the hospital. Officers searched for the shooter but could not find him. According to a police report, police believe this is a targeted incident and not a random act of violence.
