Man Stabbed at Chesapeake Square After Fight in Parking Lot

A Glen Burnie man is charged with assault for allegedly stabbing a Dundalk man who went to a shopping center to meet his former girlfriend.

A Dundalk man was stabbed during a fight in the parking lot of the Chesapeake Square Shopping Center in Glen Burnie, and Anne Arundel County Police have charged a Glen Burnie man in the case.

Officers from the Northern District responded to the Johns Hopkins Bay View Hospital at 11:33 p.m. Saturday about a stabbing that occurred earlier at the shopping center.

The victim, a 31-year-old Dundalk man, told police that at about 8:30 p.m. he went to the Chesapeake Square Shopping Center to meet with his former girlfriend. At the meeting the victim said he was confronted by a man he knew. An argument between the suspect and victim escalated into a fight and the suspect allegedly used a knife to stab the victim in his left hip.

Officers interviewed witnesses and obtained a positive identification of the suspect. The man was subsequently arrested at his address in Glen Burnie.

Gene William Farr, 36, of the 1100 block of Castle Harbour Way, Glen Burnie, was charged with first- and second-degree assault, and reckless endangerment.
