Man Tries to Grab Woman's Backpack on Glen Burnie Street

GLEN BURNIE, MD — Authorities are searching for a man who tried to grab a woman's backpack from her when she was walking on Glen Mar Road, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

The strong-arm robbery attempt was reported just before noon Tuesday in the 400 block of Glen Mar Road for an attempted strong arm robbery. Officers met with a 32-year-old woman who said an unknown suspect tried to pull her backpack from her while she was walking near Nolpark Court and Crain Highway.

The suspect was unable to grab the bag from the victim and fled south on Crain Highway. Authorities say the woman was not injured.

Officers, including the department's K-9 unit, searched the area, but the suspect was not found. He is described a black male wearing a black mask and black clothing.
