Maryland Arsenal Showcase Baseball Tryouts

Maryland Arsenal is an upstart travel baseball program, consisting of baseball players from around the state of Maryland.

WHAT: 17/18U Tryouts

WHEN: 6 p.m. Oct. 4, 2014

WHERE: Annapolis High School, 2700 Riva Road, Annapolis, MD

WHO: The Maryland Arsenal Baseball Club, based in Annapolis, Maryland, is currently in search of dedicated players who are interested in playing baseball in college. The team will compete in 8-10 weekend tournaments during the Summer of 2015, as well as the NABF league on week nights in and around Anne Arundel County. Tentative tournament schedule includes Grand Slam America (PA), Dynamic (MD, VA), Prospect Wire (VA), Birmingham (AL), Perfect Game, Impact, and others.

Gene Bowles: Played college baseball at the College of Southern Maryland. Pitched in the New York State League.

Derek Dixon: Three-time All-Anne Arundel County selection. Played college baseball at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte and Towson University, and professionally for the Kalamazoo Kings.

Ken Arnold: Played college baseball at Wagner University and professionally for various teams over 9-year career.Andrew Watts: Played high school baseball at the Severn School and college basketball at Morgan State University.

Russ Good: Graduate of Central Michigan University. Recreational and travel baseball coach for 18 years.
