MARYLAND MEP TO HOST 'CHEERS TO GEARS' EVENT AT GLEN BURNIE-BASED MACHINING MANUFACTURER, HOLMATRO

Event on July 21 to offer guests opportunity to cut through vehicle using Holmatro's tools

(Columbia, Maryland) – Maryland Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MD MEP), the one and only resource for growing and advancing manufacturing in the State of Maryland, will hold its Make it in Maryland Program’s July 2015 ‘Cheers to Gears’ event on Tuesday, July 21, at Holmatro in Glen Burnie.

This event specifically caters to MD MEP’s Make it in Maryland members, and manufacturers interested in learning about the program, to show the organization’s continued support and appreciation for companies that invest in Maryland. Holmatro is an industry market leader in designing, developing, producing and testing hydraulic equipment and systems that are used for rescue, industrial and special tactics operations around the world. At its state-of-the-art production facilities situated comfortably in the U.S. and Netherlands, Holmatro works to exemplify excellence in performance, innovation and quality, while using game-changing technology to help customers and users fulfill their specialized tasks and needs.

This ‘Cheers to Gears’ event will feature a tour of Holmatro’s facility in Glen Burnie, followed by a networking reception with Maryland-made food and drink provided for guests. In addition, attendees will be able to put Holmatro’s tools to the test with an opportunity to cut through a vehicle at the facility’s on-site training ground.

The Make it in Maryland Program’s ‘Cheers to Gears’ events are hosted monthly by different Make it in Maryland members, with the ultimate goal being to provide invested companies with an opportunity to experience new facilities, network with and learn more about their Make It In Maryland counterparts. MD MEP’s Make it in Maryland program is Maryland’s first and only program dedicated to manufacturers within the State to showcase companies, demonstrate the value of manufacturing within Maryland and highlight manufacturing successes.
