Meet Real-Life Superheroes And Help Beat Cancer At Sept. 15 Event
Kids can meet real-life superheroes, check out life-saving equipment, play games and more at the Sept. 15 2019 Super Hero Family Fun Day.
GLEN BURNIE, MD — Kids look up to the real life super heroes they see racing by on the way to put out a fire or save a life. Now, local youth have the chance to meet those real life super heroes in person while benefiting a terrific cause.
The Anne Arundel County Fire Department will be participating in the 2019 Super Hero Family Fun Day hosted by the Fired Up for Childhood Cancer awareness committee. Admission to the Sept. 15 event is free and tickets can be purchased for games and activities.
There will be two moon bounce houses, a fire truck slide, lots of fun games with prizes, face painting, a touch a truck display, demonstrations, law enforcement vehicle displays and demonstrations from the Anne Arundel County Police Department, Maryland State Police, fire equipment from the Anne Arundel County Fire Department, Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport Fire & Rescue Department, the City of Annapolis Fire Department and two helicopters. The event runs from noon to 4 p.m. at the Marley Station Mall, 7900 Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie.

With live characters, more than 30 vendors, a silent auction, DJ, bake wheel and several food trucks, there's something for everyone at this event. All of the proceeds raised from the event will be donated to The Children's Cancer Foundation, Inc. To date, the Fired Up for Childhood Cancer Committee has raised $21,000.
