Here are the top stories today in Glen Burnie:
- The Glen Burnie Improvement Association held its annual Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony. The ceremony was held at the Veterans War Memorial on Central Avenue Monday afternoon. Many thanks to Marine Corp League 1049 Anne Arundel County and everyone who help make this possible. (Facebook)
- In honor of our fallen war heroes, a Memorial Day Ceremony was performed at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. The service took place at 10 a.m. yesterday morning. The ceremony was to honor those who lost their lives defending our country in the past year. (WBFF 45)
- A man was pulled from the water near Sandy Point on Sunday, May 29. He jumped in the water to cool off from the warm temperatures but was quickly swept away by the current. Another boater was able to help pull the man onto their boat, but it was too late, the man passed away. (Chesapeake Bay Magazine)
- Police are looking for two male teenagers suspected in a robbery in Riviera Beach this past Wednesday, May 25. The 21-year-old victim was approached by two teens on bikes who assaulted him, stole his cell phone and fled the scene with a group of other teens. Anyone with any information is encouraged to call the police. (Shore News Network)
- Major props to the Maryland lacrosse team as they remain undefeated. The men's team went on to win the national championship. They beat Cornell and finished the season 18-0. (WBAL 11)
