Men Found With Crack Cocaine, Marijuana, Guns: Police

Anne Arundel County police officers stopped a vehicle in Glen Burnie when two men exited the vehicle with guns and drugs, police say.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — During a traffic stop Nov. 18 at approximately 10:30 p.m., two of the passengers hopped out of the vehicle. One had a handgun and the other shoved something into his waistband, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department. Both individuals took off and one tossed a silver handgun into a wooded area.

Officers apprehended both suspects. The discarded weapon, a silver 9 mm Blank handgun, was recovered and a S&W 9 mm handgun was recovered from one of the men. Small amounts of suspected marijuana and suspected crack cocaine were recovered from a suspect identified as 20-year-old Daquian McCardell of Pasadena, and a small amount of marijuana was found on the second suspect identified as 24-year-old Djibril Turner of Baltimore, according to a police report. Both suspects were arrested and charged accordingly. The driver was arrested and charged with several traffic related violations.
