GLEN BURNIE, MD — Anne Arundel County officers responded to two citizen armed robberies Jan. 17. In one incident, a victim was sitting in his vehicle outside a friend's house in the 1400 block of Braden Loop, waiting for the friend to come outside. Two suspects approached his vehicle and told him they had just watched him use a nearby ATM and then one man pulled out a gun. The victim handed over his money and the suspects took off.

Less than an hour later, officers responded to another citizen robbery in the 200 block of Southbridge Drive. The victim had just parked his vehicle in the street outside his building and as he was climbing out of the vehicle, he was approached by two suspects. One of the men had a gun and forced the victim back into the driver's seat while the second suspect climbed into the back seat. The driver was held at gunpoint while the second suspect went through his pockets and removed his keys and cash.

In both incidents, the suspects fled the scene. Northern District Detectives are investigating both cases and ask that anyone with any information call 410-222-6135 or the TipLine at 410-222-4700.
