Hey, Glen Burnie! Let's get this Friday started off right. Here's everything you need to know about what's happening around Glen Burnie today.

Here are the top stories today in Glen Burnie:

  1. A teenage boy was stabbed April 27 in Glen Burnie. The incident happened at around 6:10 p.m. on Crain Highway and Wilson Boulevard. The teen was taken to a local area hospital with a non-life-threatening wound. (wmar2news.com)
  2. On the second anniversary of Mo Gaba's death, the Orioles make an announcement: July 28 will be "Mo Gaba Day" at Camden Yards. Anyone who purchases a ticket is welcome to make a donation in Mo's name. Mo became an unlikely local legend when he started calling into sports radio stations to talk about his beloved Orioles and Ravens. (WMAR 2)
  3. Police were called to the area of Shelley Road and Ritchie Highway on April 27 at approximately 8:35 a.m. Passersby reported seeing a gun being waved out of a car window. The vehicle was pulled over and a search turned up an airsoft gun. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly. (Anne Arundel County)

  • For those of you who like getting your hands dirty with fresh steamed crabs, there are rules to be followed. Take a peak to make sure your are not doing a crab picking no-no. Never wear a bib and always strive to be last picker sitting! (Facebook)
  • Today is "Arbor Day" though, Sally from Charlie Brown, initially believed it to be "the day when all the ships come sailing into the arbor"! What it really is, is a day that encourages the planting of trees. Go plant a tree or watch ships sailing, either way, have a great time doing it! (Holidays and Observances)
  • A solar eclipse black moon is expected on April 30. This is a rare cosmic event! Perhaps everything you dreamed of could come true. Ahhh, the power of wishful thinking! (Facebook)
