The purpose of National Night Out, which is organized in conjunction with various police organizations nationwide, is to inform the public about various police and community programs. Drug prevention initiatives, town watch organizations, or even tips on how to burglar proof your home, are only a few of the educational highlights of a typical National Night Out gathering.
Since National Night Out always occurs on the first Tuesday in August, watch for this year's 31st annual gathering and festivities to be scheduled for Tuesday, August 5, 2014 in neighborhood communities from coast to coast.
This year the event will be Sponsored by the Greater Brooklyn Park Council and hosted by the TAXPAYERS; IMPROVEMENT ASSOCIATION OF PATAPSCO PARK, INC. and will take place at the LLOYD KEASER COMMUNITY CENTER, 5757 BELLE GROVE ROAD, (BELLE GROVE ROAD AND SCHOOL LANE), BROOKLYN PARK, MD 21225.
