Here are the top stories today in Glen Burnie:
- As a thank you to the health care workers at Baltimore Washington Medical Center, employees were treated to a free lunch. Kooper's Tavern and 4Bridges Commercial Capital provided the lunches. This is in conjunction with "Help Our Heroes" campaign which started this past January. (wmar2news.com)
- No one was injured, this is just a reenactment! The Anne Arundel County Police Department assisted the fire department to raise awareness about teen drinking and driving. Please don't drink and drive! (A.A. County Police/Facebook)
- Maryland has been given the approval to design a new bridge. This bridge will be built alongside the existing Chesapeake Bay Bridge. The Maryland Department of Transportation studied 14 other options before deciding on this plan. (WTOP)
- A 15-year-old male was the victim of an attempted robbery on April 21 in Annapolis on Riva Road. Two teenagers followed the victim and then demanded the victim's property. A fight ensued but was broken up by a passing motorist honking their horn. The suspects fled without anything being stolen. (A.A. County/Press Release)
- A pedestrian was hit on Crain Highway and Hospital Drive in Glen Burnie on April 21. It was near the Hardees and Crain Towers. Witnesses said that he was awake when paramedics arrived on scene. (A.A. First Alert/Facebook)

- Meet at the Glen Burnie Towne Center for the Community Cleanup. Join them on April 23, from 9-11 a.m. Everyone is invited to pick up litter. Bags and instructions will be provided. (Events/Facebook)
- Drive down to Sandy Point to be a Chesapeake Junior Ranger for a day. The event is April 23 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. This is a fun event for the whole family. It's free and anyone at any age can be a Junior Ranger! (MD State Parks/Facebook)
