Teacher Assaulted By Student With Toy Gun At North County High: Police

A teacher was assaulted by a student with a toy gun at North County High School, police said. Officers charged and released the student.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — Police said a teacher was assaulted by a student with a toy gun last Thursday at North County High School.

The teacher at the Glen Burnie school found a student with a “gel blaster.” The educator was hit by a projectile from the toy gun when he went to tell administrators, officers said.

The teacher was not hurt.

Authorities said they charged the accused 17-year-old and released them to a guardian.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department did not identify the juvenile suspect. This is normal protocol for minors charged with most crimes.
