Student Sexually Assaulted By AACPS Employee, Officers Arrest Suspect: Police

An Old Mill High student said she was sexually assaulted by a school employee. Officers arrested the Glen Burnie suspect without incident.

MILLERSVILLE, MD — An Old Mill High School employee accused of sexually assaulting a student was arrested Tuesday, authorities said. Anne Arundel County Police officers identified the suspect as 30-year-old Fulgencio Salomon Jolon of Glen Burnie.

Authorities heard of the allegations on Sept. 28. They notified the school board, which banned the Anne Arundel County Public Schools worker from Old Mill pending an investigation.

The Anne Arundel County Child Advocacy Center then interviewed the 16-year-old victim. The Old Mill student told the interviewers that Jolon sexually assaulted her on Sept. 27, police said.

Officers found additional evidence and interviewed other witnesses. In the end, authorities said they secured an arrest warrant charging Jolon with:

  • Three counts of second-degree assault
  • Fourth-degree sex offense
  • Fourth-degree sex offense involving a person of authority

Investigators said they took the accused man into custody without incident on Tuesday evening.

The agency did not mention Jolon's job title or where the victim said the assault happened.
