Passenger Struck By Bullet, Glen Burnie House Also Shot: Police
Anne Arundel County police officers believe the shooting of the house and the man riding in a vehicle are related.
GLEN BURNIE, MD — A man riding in a vehicle on Polk Circle near Heritage Hills Drive was struck by a bullet Oct. 6 at approximately 8:30 p.m. The Anne Arundel County Police Department received multiple 911 calls from residents hearing gunshots in the area. The man was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound on his backside.
Officers also were notified that a bullet had been fired into a residence in the 600 block of Polk Circle where it blew through a front window, burst through two doors and became lodged in an appliance. Despite there being several residents at home at the time, no injuries were reported.
Northern District detectives are investigating the incident and believe the projectile that entered the home may have been a stray round from the shooting incident. Detectives ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-6135 or the TipLine at 410-222-4700.
