Fatal Hit-And-Run Crash Claims Glen Burnie Pedestrian: Police

A pedestrian died after a hit-and-run crash in Glen Burnie, police said. The man, 56, was using a walker in the roadway.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A pedestrian died this weekend after a hit-and-run crash in Glen Burnie, county police announced.

Officers identified the victim as 56-year-old Paul Haughee of Glen Burnie. Authorities said he was using a walker in the travel portion of southbound Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard near Maryland Route 10.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department said the pedestrian was wearing dark, non-reflective clothing.

A passerby spotted the victim and called 911 around 2 a.m. Saturday, officers said. Authorities don't know how long the victim was there before somebody spotted him. Police also don't have any details on the vehicle involved or where it fled.

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department pronounced the pedestrian dead on the scene, a press release said.

First responders said they took the victim's body to the Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy.
