GLEN BURNIE, MD — A Glen Burnie pedestrian was treated at a hospital after he was hit by a car while crossing a street, police say. The accident happened about 5:45 p.m. Tuesday at Hospital Drive and Mountain Ridge Drive in Glen Burnie.

Anne Arundel County Police say the man, who was wearing dark clothing, was walking across Hospital Drive without using a crosswalk or a traffic control device when he was struck by a vehicle. Investigators say the vehicle had the right of way; the unnamed driver remained at the scene and was cooperative with police.

The pedestrian, who was not identified, was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, where he was treated and released.
