PHOTOS: WWII Veterans Grab Barbecue for Memorial Day

hosted a complimentary lunch Sunday to honor some American heroes from World War II.

These veterans—ranging in age from 85 to 101—traveled with the Honor Flight Network from Bakersfield, CA, to Washington, DC, to see the memorials built in their honor.

The veterans enjoyed barbecue while some were interviewed by the media. One of the veteran's granddaughters performed the national anthem, which is heard at the restaurant each day at noon.
