Authorities said they noticed signs of impairment from the driver, who was still sitting in the front seat.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department said it arrested the driver, later identified as Froh.
Officers said they charged Froh with driving under the influence and other related traffic offenses.
Patch asked police for the accused officer's full first name. Authorities declined our request and cited the department's standard operating procedures of only using a first initial.
Patch also asked the agency for the arrestee's blood alcohol concentration. Police said they did not conduct any tests on the scene.
"The arrest was based on the officers training, knowledge and experience in conjunction with their observations and evidence at the scene of the incident," Cpl. Chris Anderson told Patch in an email.
