Police Seize Heroin, $22K In Cash In Glen Burnie Raid

Two residents are charged with drug dealing, say Anne Arundel County police.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — An early-morning raid by a narcotics unit led to the seizure of heroin and cash, and the arrest of two Glen Burnie residents on charges of drug dealing, the Anne Arundel County police announced Friday. Edelvis Hayes, 30, and Elizabeth Ramirez, 25, were both charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, the police said.

The police narcotics unit, along with a special operations unit, executed a search warrant at about 5:40 a.m. at the residence of Hayes and Ramirez in the 600 block of Charante Court, according to a police statement.

Detectives seized 96.5 grams of heroin, with an estimated street value of $11,584, the police said. They also seized a digital scale, drug paraphernalia and $22,383 in cash.
