Police: Two Thrown from Dirt Bike, Driver in Critical Condition
Bike collided with side of Lexus late Saturday, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

A young man is in critical condition after a late-night wreck after he and a passenger were thrown from a dirt bike in a collision with a Lexus on Saturday, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
Calvin Ronshaye Savoy, 19, of Glen Burnie, sustained life-threatening injuries and is in critical condition at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma center.
Officers responded at 11:15 p.m. to the intersection of Crain Highway North and Jackson Avenue. According to police, the Yamaha YZ dirt bike driven by Savoy was traveling south on Crain Highway with no lights.

A Lexus sedan heading in the opposite direction was making a turn across traffic onto Jackson Avenue and did not see the bike coming. The dirt bike collided with the side of the Lexus and both Savoy and a passenger were ejected from the bike.
Neither rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the wreck. The passenger, Charles William Sheffield, 19, of Glen Burnie, had non-life-threatening injuries.

Police also note the dirt bike was not registered and not legally allowed on the road. Savoy was also not a licensed driver, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
The cause of the collision is driver error by the dirt bike driver, according to police.
The driver of the Lexus, Vincent Cornelius Gordon III, 23, of Annapolis, had minor injuries.
