Public Forum - Federal Health Care Act

Public
Forum on the Affordable Health Care Act

The
District 32 Democratic Club is sponsoring a special Public Forum on the Federal
Affordable Health Care Act.  It will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2014, at the Ferndale Fire House.  The Forum is scheduled from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30
p.m. and will include a video, Power Point presentation and a question and

answer session.  The meeting is open to
the general public.  Please invite everyone you know to get info about how this Act will affect them.  Will employees lose coverage?  Can you
keep your child on your coverage? Will premiums increase?  Ask your
questions and hear the answers.  

The
Anne Arundel County Department of Health will be holding a special

Health Care Reform Forum which is open to the general public.  The

featured guest speaker will be Martin F. Smith, Ph.D., Special Assistant

to the Health Officer for Health Care Reform and Organizational Change with the
Anne Arundel County Department of Health.

Members
of HealthCare Access Maryland have also been invited to attend.  They are
assisting Anne Arundel County residents to enroll in the Maryland Health
Connection.  Other county agencies have been invited to send

representatives to this meeting.  William Matthews from HCAM will do a brief

presentation and Shonda DeShields from our Eligibility &
Enrollment program will attend.  Amy Rebino who is the SHIP Director will
also be present to answer questions the audience may have concerning Health
Insurance for Seniors and the DisabledPatricia
Dorn
is with the MD Insurance Administration.
