17-Year-Old Shot, Hospitalized In Anne Arundel County: Police
A 17-year-old boy was shot and hospitalized in Anne Arundel County, police said. Officers are still looking for the suspect.

PUMPHREY, MD — A shooting in northern Anne Arundel County hospitalized a 17-year-old boy, police announced Monday.
Officers expect the victim to survive. Authorities are still looking for the suspect.
Police said the shooting happened Sunday around 8:30 p.m. in Pumphrey.

Officers said they responded to Zeppelin Avenue and Gibbons Avenue and learned that four people were walking to meet another person on Zeppelin Avenue.
Authorities said the group saw a black Dodge pickup truck, and they thought the person they were supposed to meet was inside the vehicle. The group approached the truck, but it drove away.

The truck then stopped at an intersection and an occupant fired a single shot toward the group, police said.
Officers said the shot hit the victim in the leg.
The vehicle then drove away, authorities said.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department did not report any other injuries.
