The Relay For Life of North Anne Arundel County will provide an amazing lineup of free entertainment to families on Saturday May 17th at Lindale Middle School in Linthicum, MD beginning at 2:00 PM.
This year's Relay theme of Heroes is emphasized by a local celebrity who embodies what it truly means to be a hero. Lenny B. Robinson of Superheroes for Kids will be appearing as his alter-ego, Batman, along with his Batmobile. Robinson's heroic story went viral back in 2012 after a recorded traffic stop in Montgomery County unmasked him as the man who had been visiting ill children in hospitals for over 10 years as Batman. On May 17th from 4:00 - 7:00 pm, he will join the battle against cancer and help the American Cancer Society finish the fight!
Family Fun begins with Silly Goose and Val bringing ventriloquism, comedy, singing and dancing to the stage at 2:30 pm. Valeria Leonhart Smalkin is fresh off a performance at the Baltimore Zoo this past weekend where she released her new children's book, titled "Springtime Dance". Silly Goose and Val are followed by Musical Fun with Mr. Hyson at 4:00 pm, offering a positive, interactive good time with Mr. Leroy Hyson and his band, which happen to be the audience.
Following the Opening Ceremony and Survivor Lap at 5:00 pm, the string trio Good Measure will take the stage to play a mix of oldies and country music as line dancers take to the floor. Those who just want to sit back and enjoy the music can find a seat in the bleachers as Good Measure plays a selection of familiar classics.
At 7:00 pm, everyone's favorite mascot will arrive at the Relay For Life of North Anne Arundel County; The Oriole Bird. Celebrate the first place O's by getting your photo taken with the Bird!
Bobby and the Believers kick the party up to another level from 10:00 pm to midnight, with their mix of covers from the 60s till today. The Believers are a nine-piece band serving the metropolitan area with a wide variety of music for over thirty years. They feature two lead vocalists, three flashy horn players, and four rhythm & backup musicians. Dance the night away to amazing renditions of Top 40 hits you know and love.
The fun begins at 2:00 PM on May 17th at Lindale Middle School, 415 Andover Road, in Linthicum, MD. DJ Mar-K of Rock'n MM Entertainment will serve as the master of ceremonies and keep the party going all day and all night. Be there for a celebration of life and an unmatched lineup of free entertainment.
