Robbery Outside Giant Store in Glen Burnie: Police

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A man was assaulted and robbed Wednesday in front of the Giant Food store at 7383 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Glen Burnie, according to authorities.

Anne Arundel County Police say the robbery was reported shortly before 11 a.m. A man told officers that an unknown man asked him for a cigarette, then assaulted him and took a small amount of cash. The suspect ran from the area; a police search was unable to find the robber.

The victim was not hurt during the robbery and no weapons were shown, police said.

Police say the suspect is described as a black man in his 30s, 6’0”-6’2”, with a stocky build. He was wearing a black “beanie” hat and a dark gray sweatshirt.
