Grab your calendars and save the dates. Here are some exciting events to come at the Historic London Town and Gardens:
Blue Star Museum Program. The museum is honoring active duty military personnel and immediate families by giving them free admission from now until Labor Day.
Summer Concert Series. (Sundays in August from 5 to 7 p.m.) Enjoy a variety of music in the ornamental gardens throughout August. Bring blankets, chairs or even picnics to enjoy an evening night out. You can’t bring your own alcohol, but beer, wine and other beverages will be for sale onsite. The concerts are free, but donations are welcome and appreciated.

Hearth Cooking and Family Program. Watch re-enactors cook over an open fire to make colonial-style foods in the Lord Mayor’s Tenement from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9, Saturday, Sept. 13, Saturday Oct. 11 and Saturday, Nov. 8. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on those dates will be various family programs, including the introduction of the new Sound and Sensory Garden in August and learning about spies during the American Revolution in November.
Militia Muster. (Saturday, Nov. 1 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m and Sunday, Nov. 2 from noon to 4 p.m.) Join re-enactors from Anne Arundel County who will having clothing and equipment reflecting the colonial period.
Colonial Fall Fair. (Saturday, Nov. 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 23 from noon to 4 p.m.) Experience life in a colonial Chesapeake town. Costumed re-enactors will cook in the Lord Mayor’s Tenement and interact with visitors. Games and activities will be available for children.
Native American Appreciation Day. (Friday, Nov. 28 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) The day will be filled with Native American dances, open-hearth cooking, story time and arts & crafts activities.
