Service King Collision Repair Centers and Allstate Insurance Company Give the Gift of Transportation This Holiday Season

Allstate Insurance Company and Service King Collision Repair Centers donated a newly refurbished 2009 Mercury Mariner to Matthew and Shauna Basser, wrapped in a giant green bow.

The vehicle donation is part of Recycled Rides, a unique program developed by the National Auto Body Council in which insurers, collision repairers, paint suppliers, parts vendors and others collaborate to repair and donate vehicles to deserving individuals and service organizations in local communities throughout the country. Allstate Insurance Company donated the Mercury Mariner and technicians from the Glen Burnie Service King Collision Repair Center donated their time to fully refurbish the vehicle.

“The Bassler family has a heart for giving”, said Cornelius Fisher, Business Development Manager for Service King Collision Centers. “Reliable transportation is something many of us take for granted and we are proud to provide a vehicle to this very deserving family.”

Matthew works a public job and also ministers at various rest homes, missions, and other areas from week to week. His wife Shauna, is a K-5 Kindergarten teacher at Carroll Christian Schools. Matthew and his family faithfully visit folks during the week and then help with their Church’s Bus Ministry, picking up members and bringing them to church for Sunday morning services, where they also teach a Sunday class each week. This recycled vehicle will help the Basslers continue their ministry and replace their unreliable older vehicle which is on its way out.

“We are grateful for all the kindness shown to us today”, said Matthew Basser. “Receiving this vehicle is a catalyst for us to give back and help others as much as we can”.
