Severn Man Assaulted, Robbed Victim In Glen Burnie: Police Report

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A 49-year-old Severn man has been arrested and charged with robbery and second degree assault after an incident that occurred July 28 in Glen Burnie. According to the Anne Arundel County Police Department, Scott Vernon Hoffman approached a man in the 7400 block of Ritchie Highway, assaulted him and attempted to steal his money.

The victim took off for the courthouse where he reported the assault and robbery, police noted. Officers searched the area and located Hoffman who was positively identified by the victim. He was arrested and charged.
