Shared Service Solutions Promotes Scully to CEO

Shared Service Solutions (S3), along with its owners Bellco Credit Union, Bethpage Federal Credit Union, and SECU of Maryland, are pleased to announce the promotion of Mike Scully from Chief Operating Officer to Chief Executive Officer.

Scully joined S3 in August 2012 as the COO of the shared services company that supports Bellco Credit Union, Bethpage Federal Credit Union, and SECU of Maryland, operating the call center, collections, member account support, deposit operations, real estate loan underwriting, processing, and servicing departments in Linthicum, Maryland, and a consumer lending group in Greenwood Village, Colorado. Scully was brought in for his extensive operations experience work with the credit unions’ leadership teams to build the company from the ground up.

In the past three years, S3 has grown to 440 employees under Scully’s direction as COO. On April 15, 2015, S3 was jointly recognized with its sister CUSO, OTS, by NACUSO with the Collaboration and Innovation Award. The award is presented to credit union service organizations (CUSO) that exhibit excellence and innovation in utilizing the collaborative model to bring new solutions to the credit union industry.

Scully has been in the financial services industry for 25 years, with 10 years at Wells Fargo. He lives in Maryland with his wife, Julie, and four sons. When he is not at S3, he spends most of his time on baseball, soccer and lacrosse fields with his sons.
