Here are the top stories in Glen Burnie today:
- The Flashpoint Convenience store was the target of a robbery on Sunday, April 17. A man with a gun entered the store and threatened an employee. The employee was locked in a back room when the suspect stole money from the cash register. (Digital Edition)
- Glen Burnie basketball player Taysha Bender has made the second team for the Dominican College Athletics. Congratulations! (Dominican College Athletics)
- The Severn-Danza property has been taken over by Anne Arundel County. This area was in need of public fields, walking trails and a new school. Since this acquisition, these ideas can now start to come to fruition. (Capital Gazette)
- April 19 at approximately 4:20 p.m., a fight broke out in the Brooklyn Park area. Residents called police when the sound of gun shots were heard. The police could not find a weapon, or the people involved in the fight, but a spent shell casing was found. (A.A. County/Press Release)
- Jameal Danielle Mcleod, 28, pled guilty to being an accessory after the fact in an assault. She was in the company of Jermain Epps, 28, when Epps shot a man. Both fled the scene but were later taken into custody. All but 151 days of McLeod's sentence was suspended. (Ocean City Today)
