Burglary Suspect Admits Fondling 7-Year-Old: Police
A Tilghman Island man has admitted burglarizing two Glen Burnie homes and molesting a girl. Police say their may be other assault victims.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A Talbot County man is in jail without bond after he allegedly confessed that he reached through a 7-year-old girl’s bedroom window and fondled her, police say.
Authorities ask that anyone who may have been a victim of the suspect to come forward.
The sexual assault happened just after 6 a.m. Friday in the 7700 block of Hancock Lane in Glen Burnie, according to Anne Arundel County Police. From there, the suspect allegedly broke into a nearby house in the 1200 block of Cathedral Drive less than an hour later. When the woman homeowner confronted the man in her kitchen, he fled, leaving behind stolen items in a nearby field.

Anne Arundel County Police said Thursday they have charged Kevin Hamilton Manning, 25, of the 2100 block of Phillips Road in Tilghman Island with multiple counts of burglary and sexual assault for the two incidents.
A DNA sample from a pair of latex gloves discarded near the Cathedral Drive burglary led police to Manning. Detectives found him Wednesday afternoon in the 200 block of Crain Court in Glen Burnie, where he was taken into custody without incident.

Police say Manning admitted that he committed the Feb. 5 burglaries on Hancock Lane and Cathedral Drive.
Investigators say Manning had been staying at locations close to the crime scenes. Sex crimes detectives searched several other locations and reportedly found evidence linking Manning to the burglary and child sex-offense crimes.
Manning was charged with:
Cathedral Drive burglary:
- first-degree burglary
- third-degree burglary
- fourth-degree burglary-dwelling
- fourth-degree burglary-theft
Hancock Lane burglary/child sex offense:
- third degree burglary
- fourth degree burglary-dwelling
- third degree sex offense
- fourth degree sex offense
- second degree assault
Manning is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center on a-no bond status.
