Suspect Sought In Shooting Death Of Glen Burnie Man

Anne Arundel County police officers are searching for Khiry Dewann Queen, 21, of Glen Burnie who they believe was involved in a man's death.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — The Anne Arundel County Police Department is searching for Khiry Dewann Queen, 21, of Glen Burnie who has been charged with second degree murder, first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment, loaded handgun on a person, handgun on a person and firearm used in a felony/violent crime. Police believe Queen was involved in the Sept. 12 shooting death of Fillmore James Burriss, 27, of Glen Burnie.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:45 p.m. in the 500 block of Delaware Avenue. Police responded to the scene for a report about a fight. When they arrived, officers found Burriss lying dead in the street from a gunshot wound, according to the police department. Witnesses pinpointed Queen as one of three men who approached Burriss who was engaged in a family discussion outside at the time, according to a police report. One of the men pulled out a handgun and shot Burriss, police reported.
