Tip Jar Thief Threatened Restaurant Employee: Police
A man reportedly walked into Maria D's Restaurant Saturday night and helped himself to the cash, police charge.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A man who reportedly snatched cash from a restaurant tip jar now faces felony charges.
Anne Arundel County Police say the holdup happened about 7:40 p.m. Saturday at Maria D’s Restaurant, 111 Crain Highway in Glen Burnie.
An employee told police a man who came into the restaurant grabbed money from the tip jar. As he took the cash, the suspect reportedly threatened, “If you call the police I will take my gun out and use it.”

The man fled from the business, but was soon spotted by police near Georgia Avenue and Ritchie Highway.
Officers detained Isandro Gonzalez Jr., 27, of the 200 block of Agnes Lane in Glen Burnie. Employees identified him as the tip jar thief.

Authorities have not said how much money Gonzalez allegedly stole.
Gonzalez is charged with robbery, theft and assault in the robbery.
