Trucker Carjacked On Crain Highway, Truck Left In Severn
A food delivery trucker stopped to inventory his load, only to have his truck stolen and later abandoned in Severn, police say.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A food delivery driver who pulled over on Crain Highway in Glen Burnie to organize the items in his truck was carjacked Tuesday afternoon. While Anne Arundel County Police eventually found the truck abandoned in Severn, they're still searching for the thief.
The driver stopped about 3:25 p.m. on the shoulder of the road in the 1900 block of Crain Highway so he could organizers the inventory in the rear of the delivery truck. While he was working, a man entered the truck and implied he had a weapon. Police say the suspect demanded the victim’s money, phone, and keys to the truck.
Once the driver turned the items over to the suspect, the driver was ordered out of the vehicle, and the carjacker drove off, police say.

A police helicopter soon spotted the truck abandoned in the 7600 block of Telegraph Road in Severn. Officers, including a police K-9, responded to the area but the suspect was not found.
Authorities say the truck driver was hurt in the robbery.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 30s, 5’11’ tall with no facial hair and an average build. He was wearing a black hoodie, red shirt, and gray sweatpants.
