Two Armed Robberies Reported In Glen Burnie, Linthicum
Anne Arundel County Police responded to two armed robberies early on the morning of June 21 that occurred less than 2 hours apart.
GLEN BURNIE, MD — Anne Arundel County Police officers responded to two armed robberies occurring only 1.5 hours apart in the early morning hours of June 21. The first occurred at 2 a.m. at Checkers in Linthicum, 6899 Baltimore Annapolis Blvd.
According to a police report, a man walked into Checkers, flashed a handgun and demanded cash from the register. The clerk on duty gave the robber cash and then the thief ran from the store. Officers who arrived on the scene could not locate him. The robber was described as a black man standing six feet tall.
The second armed robbery incident in the area happened at 3:30 a.m. at the 7-Eleven at 1250 Crain Highway in Glen Burnie. A man walked into the business, showed a weapon and demanded cash. The clerk gave him the money in the register and the suspect fled on foot. Officers who responded to the call could not locate the suspect. The suspect in this armed robbery was described to police as a white man about 5'10" tall.
