Two Robberies, Stabbing Reported in Glen Burnie: Police

Officers responded to reports of a robbery and stabbing Sept. 16 and a robbery at a McDonalds Sept. 17 in Glen Burnie.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — Two robberies were reported in Glen Burnie Sept. 16 and Sep. 17, with one incident resulting in a man being stabbed. On Sept. 16 at approximately 8 p.m., officers were alerted to a report of a robbery and stabbing in the 400 block of Crain Highway North in Glen Burnie. A man was sitting in his van at the corner of Virginia Avenue N.W. and Crain Highway when a man opened the door to his vehicle to try and rob him.

When the driver resisted, the man stabbed him. The driver handed over his wallet and the man ran down an alley. Officers searched the area but could not locate the suspected. The driver was transported to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition. Anne Arundel County's Northern District detectives ask that anyone with information call 410-222-6135 or the TipLine 410-222-4700.

On Sept. 17 at approximately 12:40 a.m. officers responded to a call about a commercial robbery at the McDonalds located at 7379 B&A Boulevard in Glen Burnie. A walked up to an employee, said he had a handgun and demanded cash. The employee did not comply and the suspect fled toward 8th Avenue. Several units responded and canvassed the area, including air and K-9 units.

An officer located the suspect who was positively identified by the victim. Officers arrested 29-year-old Darrian Lee Jr. of Baltimore and charged him with robbery, armed robbery and first- and second-degree assault.
