Two Severna Park Businesses Damaged In July 20 Fire

SEVERNA PARK, MD — Anne Arundel County firefighters had their work cut out for them Saturday, July 20, when 66 of them responded to a two-alarm fire in Severna Park. According to the county fire department, the heat index was 107 degrees while they battled the flames.

Upon arriving at Benfield Florist and Park Deli on Benfield Road at approximately 5:40 p.m., offices discovered the two businesses were unoccupied. No injuries were reported and Benfield Road was closed between Jumpers and West Drive for a period of time.
