Victim Put in Chokehold, Robbed in Group Assault

Anne Arundel County Police is investigating incident Monday evening on the B&A bike trail.

Anne Arundel County Police is looking for three men involved in an alleged assault and robbery of a victim walking on the B&A bike trail Monday night.

Officers responded at 6:31 p.m. Monday to the area of the trail in the 7900 block of Ritchie Highway.

The victim, 24, told police that he was walking on the trail between Norfolk Road and the Marley Station Mall when three men approached him from behind.

One of the suspects put the victim in a choke hold and drug to the ground. All three suspect then repeatedly kicked and punched the victim. He only sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

The suspect too the victim’s cell phone and ran northbound on the trail, according to police.
